Hadith of the day: 7 things to do 7 things not to do (Arb/Urdu/Eng) Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem As Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkatuh! Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib (Radi'Allahu anhu): The Prophet (Sall'Allahu alaihi wa sallam) ordered us to do things) and forbade us from He ordered us 1)To visit the patients, 2)To follow the funeral procession, 3) To reply to the sneezer (i.e., say to him, 'Yarhamuka-l- lah) (May Allah bestow His Mercy upon you) if he says 'Al-hamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah), 4) To help others to fulfill their oaths, 5) To help the oppressed, 6)To greet (whomever one should meet),and 7) To accept the invitation (to a wedding banquet). He forbade us.. 1)To wear golden rings, 2)To use silver utensils, 3)To use Mayathir (cushions of silk stuffed with cotton and 4) placed under the rider on the saddle), 5) the Qasiyya (linen clothes containing silk brought from an Egyptian town), 6) the Istibraq (thick silk) and 7) the Dibaj (another kind of silk). (See Hadith No. 539 and 753).  (Sahih Bukhari ~ Book Mu'awiya b. Suwaid b. Muqarrin (Radi'Allahu anhu) reported: I visited al-Bara' b. 'Azib (Radi'Allahu anhu) and heard him say: Allah's Messenger (Sall'Allahu alaihi wa sallam) commanded us to do seven things and forbade us to do seven(things).1) He commanded us to visit the sick, 2) To follow the funeral procession, 3) To answer the sneezer, 4) To fulfil the vow,5)To help the poor, 6) to accept the invitation and 7) to greet everybody, and He forbade us to wear rings or gold rings, 1) To drink in silver (vessels), and 2)To use the saddle cloth made of red silk, 3) and to wear garments made of Qassi material, 4) or garments made of silk or brocade and velvet.
